We use a variety of methods to capture the children's interest and stimulate a desire to learn. Play is very important for a child's growth and we provide many opportunities for learning through play.

2. Key Stage 1 (age 5-7)
Years 1 and 2 follow the National Curriculum. The National Curriculum consists of the core subjects: English, Mathematics, Science and foundation subjects Information Communication Technology (ICT), History, Geography, Art, Music, PSHE, Design & Technology and Physical Education (PE).
In addition, children are also taught RE which is not a subject of the National Curriculum, but which is statutory.
Although subjects are listed under separate headings, it must be realised they all overlap. We have designed our curriculum top give full coverage to the National curriculum programmes of study through a series of topics. It is balanced, broadly based and relevent to the needs of all children. it will also promote spiritual, moral and cultural, mental and physical development and give each child the skills necessary to become a responsible member of society.
